Shane M. Ragsdale, O.D.
Shane graduated from The University of Houston College of Optometry with his Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Ragsdale is certified by the Texas Optometry Board and certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Diseases. While in his clinical externship rotations, he was awarded a certificate of recognition for services rendered while practicing at the Naval Health Clinic in Quantico, Virginia. He has also been recognized by the Houston Department of Health & Human Services Foundation for his dedicated service to the visually challenged youth of Houston.
Dr. Ragsdale is a graduate of Brigham Young University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. A Texas native, Dr. Ragsdale graduated from Denton High School . Shane is the 3rd generation of optometrists in the Ragsdale family. He started out at a young age simply cleaning the bathrooms, later he became an optician and an optometric technician and eventually worked his way to receive his doctorate. Because of this, he understands the profession of optometry from "the ground up". Dr. Ragsdale completed the additional education and examination requirements to practice as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. He is therapeutically licensed to treat all diseases of the eye, eye injuries, and specializes in glaucoma, difficult contact lens fitting, and LASIK management. |

Born and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Dr. Van Do is excited to return home and join the Ragsdale Vision family! Dr. Do completed her Bachelors at the University of Texas in Austin. She obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio and continued her education with a primary eye care residency at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She is licensed and trained in the treatment and management of various ocular disease states, including but not limited to: glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. In her spare time, Dr. Do enjoys contributing to her community by attending the annual Special Olympics health fair at the University of Texas at Arlington. She is a self-proclaimed amateur foodie and an avid lover of all dogs, great and small.
